January 11th, 2013
I trust that you all celebrated the recent festivities with loved ones and had some time to ponder the past 12 months… and the potential in the next 12 to come.
It is New Moon time at the moment – exact at 545 Saturday the 12th – hope you spend some time making some wishes for 2013 over the next day or so – anytime over the weekend after lunch on Saturday would be nice timing.
This time of year is a great pivot point for reflection, contemplation and planning. However, although New Year Resolutions are easy to make, they are often more challenging to keep.
In order to assist people on their New Year journey we hosted the ‘Create Your Year’ workshop here are the Create clinic on the 5th of January. Due to the demand, we are planning on hosting another Create your Year Workshop on Sunday the 3rd of February to align with the energy of the Chinese New Year.
People often like the idea of a goal but have trouble making them happen – or they just don’t give them a go – to help people align and manifest their intentions I choose a different focus area at the Create your Year Workshop.
This time it was the trick of walking the line between ‘Action’ and ‘Non Action’. The thinking up and setting up of those grand plans, while also doing the work to get them. The key is to flow between visioning and doing… they are both important.Without the idea, we have no point to work towards. Without the doing, we have no way of getting there. However, all of one gets nothing done.
Check out our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Createthelifeyouwanttolive , there is a short video which explains it a little more.
Have fun creating!

time for an annual review!
Tip – before you begin planning write an annual report to see what worked and didn’t last year and build on that.
Annual Planning:
* Review Vision for the year
* Review cash flow for the year
* Determine focus for the year
* Review your marketing strategy to ‘Get More’ Clients
* Review your Marketing strategy to ‘Keep’ Clients
* Marketing strategy to ‘Follow -up’
* Growth strategy (if required) – staff, product development, franchising, etc, etc
Tip – too much dwelling on the big picture does not necessarily create a better outcome and can build up stress. Stay focused on where you want to go and create strategies for getting there.
I also strongly suggest you get someone who understands business and is unbiased but on your side to look over your plans, it is very easy to get side tracked or make big plans that will take you nowhere.

Here’s a link to an interview I did for the AIK (Australian Institute of Kinesiologists)…. http://www.marketingwithheart.com.au/build-your-business-over-christmas/ - . With financial end of year looming many businesses find they experience a bit of a lull. In this interview you might find you get a couple of ideas of ways to support and even build your business – rather than just shutting when holidays – or quiet times approach.
If you are taking a break at the end of June it is a great time to do some planning….. Once we have switched off from the day to day details of life the right brain (our creative headquarters) can take over and imagine some brilliant new schemes. Always write them down – some will fly with the angels, other ideas are better deflated gently.
Entrepreneurs are well know for their wild ideas, but before taking off with them take a leaf from the big boys Read the rest of this entry »
